Media Player Classic, now called MPC-HC is a light-weight , open source media player. It supposrts all common video and audio file formats and subtitles. It is spyware free, there are no advertisements or additional third-party toolbars.
The biggest advantage of MPC-HC is that it is lightweight (as opposed to VLC for example), thus can be run on any old computer. The latest stable build is version 1.7.0, it was released at the end of September 2013.AUTHOR
