The OMNI 56K Duo EE uses the basic chipset ZyXEL M4 with an upgradable firmware. It allows you to send and receive faxes at speeds of 14.4 to 2.4 bits per second, with an answering system that automatically receives voice and fax messages for you. It also allows digital recording and playback and lets you record and listen to messages from your phone. It also has remote listening that enables you to retrieve messages even if you are not at home.
