ZDesigner LP 2824 Plus (ZPL)

The Zebra LP 2824 Plus Printer features both ZPL and EPL programming languages. This 2-inch -wide printer is capable of printing barcodes thermally at 3.5 ips. It has an OpenACCESS design and a head-up sensor inside its ABS double walled casing. Printing at a resolution of 203dpi at 8 dots per mm, it has a standard memory of 128 KB SRAM and 512 KB flash that can be upgraded to 256 KB SRAM at 1 MB flash.

The Zebra LP 2824 Plus Printer is a thermal printer, producing printed images by heating a thermal paper as it passes over a thermal print head. Although thermal printers usually print in black, it can also print an additional color (usually red) by applying heat at two different temperatures. This technology is also used in point of sale systems, voucher printers and print on demand labels, as well as in fax machines before they were integrated into multifunctional inkjet and laser printers.
