The VE-150 from ViewSonic is a monitor capable of taking on almost any demand made of it. It weighs a mere 12 pounds and has a depth of 3 inches for ultimate clarity with practical lightness. The active-matrix TFT display is capable of producing brilliant colors and displays. The screen has a 160-degree viewing angle for optimum viewing even when the viewer is not directly opposite the monitor. There is an anti-glare coating that helps to maintain the display’s clarity even in sharply-lit, bright environments.

In an LCD screen, light crystals do not emit light but rather help modulate light in order to produce images on screen. Unlike CRT and plasma screens that use phosphors, LCD screens cannot suffer from image burn-in. An LCD screen is made up of segments filled with liquid crystals with a light source at the back or reflector to produce images in color or monochrome. To date, this technology has replaced the CRT monitors that used to be the standard in monitors for computing.
