An LCD Projector displays images from a computer or laptop on a flat surface. In order to do this it sends light from a metal halide lamp through a series or prism of dichroic filters. These filters separate the light into three poly silicon panels (RGB): one panel for the red components, one for the green and one for the blue. As polarized light passes through, individual pixels can be opened or closed. Opened pixels allow light to pass while closed pixels don’t.
