The Genius Traveler 350 Trackball is a controller solution for those who are always on the move with their laptops but are not comfortable using the laptop trackpad. It is an optical trackball mouse that can be attached to a laptop or a notebook via its ‘tongue and groove’ holder, which includes a suction cup and a plastic base to keep it steady. However, it can also be used independently. It connects to the laptop via an USB 2.0 interface and its cable is retractable, which makes storage convenient. The product features 5 buttons, three of which are the traditional right, left, and middle button of a mouse, with the other two being hotkeys for Windows Vista applications.

The 2 hotkeys, which are especially meant for use in Windows Vista Operating System, provide users with one-touch access to the Flip 3D application besides offering an instant access to Media Center Extension (MCE). The Flip 3D app allows users to preview all the windows that are open in the computer as a scrollable stack. This makes it easy to switch between the various open files and folders without having to touch the taskbar. The device is also highly portable, measuring about 231x133x67 mm and weighing only 77 grams, and comes with a storage pouch. Its ambidextrous design means it can be used by both left and right handed people.
