Terratec H5 Driver

This download updates the driver for TerratecH5to the latest version as per manufacturers release notes. The TerraTec_H5_Drv_Setup_5.09.1202.00_XP_Vista_7.exe driver is valid for all TerratecH5 with the following specs; Interface: USB 2.0

The TerratechH5 is a compact TV tuner that draws on its larger sibling the TerratechH7, adding Analogue TV, Radio and Analogue inputs for digitalisation of Video Home System (VHS) cassettes.

Much like the high-definition format we saw in recent times with Blu-Ray winning wide acceptance over HD-DVD, the 70s had their own little format fight with Sonys Betamax and JVCs VHS taking it on for the Ultimate Format Championship. Whilst Sony did win the last round with the Blu-Ray contender, it lost its earlier fight where the VHS emerged as the clear winner. The TerratecH5 also supports full HDTV including Dolby Digital, a digital sound format by Dolby Laboratories. The Dolby Digital format made its first appearance in the summer of 1992 in the move Batman Returns. The soundtrack is actually included in the 35mm film print which is read by a penthouse digital soundhead. Whilst this piece of technology is not as exciting as the name would lead you to believe, it is still capable of pretty neat features using a CCD scanner to read the optical track and decoding it to 5.1 surround sound.
