The driver for Intel D845GRG motherboard includes a Plug and Play software device enumerator, which allows the board to recognize plug and play devices. The motherboard supports 6 USB (Universal Serial Bus) 2.0 ports (Hi-Speed), 2 DDR SDRAM DIMM sockets, 3 PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) slots. This helps in system configurations (custom) as well as other future upgrades related to add-in card. This product in question also supports Ultra ATA (analog telephony adapter)/100. This helps in fast IDE (Integrated Drive Electronics) interface for transferring data to devices used for storage purpose. The hardware management ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) feature of this device helps in remote monitoring.

Plug and Play (also referred to as PnP) type devices, including mice and keyboards, USB wireless adapters, or even monitors that have to simply be plugged in to function, etc., are all denoted by the term. Other hot pluggable devices supporting connectivity systems like IEEE Firewire and USB, as well as Mini PCIs and PCIs are also referred to as PnP accessories and devices. These devices sometimes are based on computer interfaces that are completely automated. They don't need any configuration on the system to which they are connected, and the user only needs to install the software for the devices to get those working properly.
