HP Photosmart 130 is a small, lightweight photo printer capable of printing digital photographs (B/W or color) at a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 DPI. The device supports a maximum media size of 4.13? x 6.5?. It can hold a maximum of 20 sheets of paper in the inbuilt tray, and sports an auto-loading media feeder. At best quality settings, the device can take up to 5 minutes to print a single photo, while it takes only about 1.5 minutes to perform the same task at normal quality settings. The printer can be connected to a computer via an USB cable for photo printing. Alternatively, its USB port can also be used to attach a Memory Stick or CompactFlash cards containing photos with the device, to directly print the photos.
The printer supports proprietary PhotoREt III technology developed by HP for printing high quality digital photographs. Devices supporting this technology use smaller droplets of ink than conventional printers, for enhancing quality of prints on various kinds of media, under all quality settings. Photographs printed in this way also resist fading for years to come. Apart from this, the printer also supports ColorSmart III technology developed by HP, which ensures that colors of objects in faded-out regions in digital photographs (caused by loss of focus or lack of proper lighting) are automatically enhanced during printing. This ensures uniform brightness, contrast, and color in every photo printed using the device.AUTHOR
