NVIDIA nForce 750a SLI MCP is a motherboard built to work seamlessly with the Phenom, Athlon 64X2, Athlon 64 FX and Athlon 64 range of processors (or any other AMD processor designed using AM2+ sockets) developed by AMD. The device supports PCI Express 2.0 technology and has two PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots, along with 5 other PCI slots. It supports DDR 2.0 memory technology and can accommodate 6 SATA and 2 PATA drives. The board offers out of the box support for NVIDIA FirstPacket networking technology. As far as graphics acceleration is concerned, it supports DirectX 10, as well as NVIDIA GeForce Boost technologies.

The motherboard supports FirstPacket technology, which has been developed by NVIDIA to optimize network bandwidth, allowing gamers to play games online with better framerates. An easy-to-use step-by-step wizard allows users to mention how they would like the available network bandwidth allocated between games and other applications running in the background. Thus, when the user is playing a bandwidth-hungry game, FirstPacket automatically reserves more bandwidth for the game, allocating only the least possible amount to other non-critical applications. This results in less latency and superior performance, especially in online games. The technology also works with Voice over IP (VoIP) conversations, resulting in fewer connection dropouts, and clear audio transmission.
