The NVIDIA GeForce Go 7200 graphics card has a memory interface of 64 bits and incorporates a next-generation texture engine. Its texture engine allows for up to 16 textures per rendering pass and provides support for both 16 and 32 floating point formats. The NVIDIA PureVideo technology provides hardware acceleration for many of the latest high definition video formats, including H.264 and MPEG-2, along with an LCD sharpening feature for cleaner images. Two 400 MHz RAMDACs integrated into the card allow for display resolutions of up to 2048 x 1536 at 85 Hz. The card has been designed to be compatible with PCI Express x16 technology and supports Microsoft DirectX 9 Shader Model 3.0 for special effects.

The product has been built to successfully tap into many of the proprietary technologies developed by NVIDIA, including, but not limited to, CineFX version 4.0, Intellisample version 4.0 and TurboCache. The latter allows the card to allocate memory for various applications dynamically, giving the user the best of both worlds ? the bandwidth and power of the dedicated video memory along with the option to tap into the dynamically allocated allocated systems memory. Because TurboCache renders directly into the systems memory through the high speed PCI-E bus connector, the manufacturer claims it can provide powerful performance without the aid of expensive hardware.
