NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900ZT

The GeForce FX5900 features a CineFX engine that acts to optimize all stages of the pixel pipeline and to increase the floating point shader power. This Nvidia GeForce FX GPU also features intellisample HCT for extreme image quality, nView technology for increased productivity and efficient desktop management. AGP 8X offers uninterrupted streaming, optimized graphics and increased performance, and Ultra Shadow technology boosting cinematic effects and offering a more sophisticated gaming experience.

In terms of overall performance, the GeForce FX or GeForce 5 series was designed for DirectX 7, 8, and 9 software. It has reported weak performance with Shader Model 2 programs due to low parallelism compared to its competitors. Nvidia initially released the GeForce FX 5800 and in April 2003 introduced GeForce FX 5600 and the GeForce FX 5200. In May 2003, the GeForce FX 5900 Ultra was launched, and in the same year the GeForce FX 5700, FX 5950, and the FX 5900XT were also released in the market.
