The GeForce FX 5600 is designed for DirectX 9 and features a CineFX engine that delivers cinematic gaming effects and vibrant video and image colors. This graphics card from Nvidia is powered by the same technology also present in 5800 graphics processing units. GeForce FX 5600 also features a 256 bit graphics core, 12.8 GB/sec memory bandwidth, 1.6 billion texels/sec fill rate, 256 MB maximum memory, 100 million vertices per second, and Intellisample Technology for high quality anti aliasing.

The GeForce FX or GeForce 5 series is manufactured by Nvidia. It is actually the fifth generation of Nvidia’s very popylar GeForce line of graphics processing units. It is manufactured on TSMC's 130 nm fabrication process and has brought numerous improvements to NVIDIA's video processing hardware. Its initial version was one of the first cards featuring large dual-slot cooling solutions. It has brought users real-time 3D graphics technology but has reported discontinued driver support for a number of operating systems.
