The Lexmark 2480 is a high speed printer that is specially built for printing forms. It is capable of smooth printing for multipart forms and other business-related documents. This printer is in narrow-format style and allows for fast data speeds. It can handle both single and multi-part cut forms that are 11.7 inch and 10 inch wide. It has Windows network operating system support. Its print speed is 438 cps at 10 cpi at its fast draft setting. At its near letter setting it prints 77 csp at 10cpi.

A dot matrix printer is a kind of printer that is often used with computer or PC setups. It is an impact-type printer, and has a head that works across a sheet of paper for its printing mechanism, striking a ribbon of inked cloth and pushing it against the paper, similar to how a typewriter ribbon produces text on a sheet of paper using its ink ribbon. It is capable of producing different fonts, unlike a typewriter, because the text is basically an image picked out of dots on a grid or matrix. Because of the way these printers work, they are typically used for carbon copy printing, but they are not recommended for quite office environments because of the noise.
