Intel(R) WiFi Link 5150

The Intel(R) WiFi Link 5350 is part of the group of IEEE 802.16e and 802.11a/b/g/n wireless network adapters that work in the 2.5GHz range for WiMAX. For Wi-Fi, they work in the 2.4GHz as well as 5.0GHz spectra. This adapter offers a maximum of 13Mbps for down-linking and as much as 3Mbps of up-linking over WiMAX. Over WiFi, it also offers 450Mbps Tx/Rx2. The Intel(R) Wi-Fi Link 5150 has a module integrated in the later Intel(R) Centrino 2-equipped notebooks, and this module supplies versatile and immediate connectivity to Wi-Fi as well as WiMax network types, providing a great deal of convenience for the user.

The Intel Wi-Fi Link 5350 is used for faster connectivity at lower power consumption. Wi-Fi or Wireless Fidelity is a means by which various electronic machines are able to connect to each other.
