This update fixes a number of frustrating and quirky bugs in Illustrator 8 including:
Improved support for save as PDF and the Avenza MAPublisher 3.0 plug-in. For Windows NT users brush libraries and templates now work properly and Illustrator Preferences files can now be saved on NTFS-formatted drives. EPS files are now purged from memory after being deleted, and saving EPS as 5.5J compatible, followed by printing in Illustrator no longer causes a Postscript error. When exporting to Photoshop, CMYK files no longer lose or scramble their color definitions. TIFF images overprint correctly, and the overprint attribute is now retained for gradients when the object stack is painted with process white. DXF files now scale correctly and hidden layers no longer revert to non-printing when saved with Illustrator 7 compatibility and re-opened in Illustrator 8.0.
