The Epson LP-7000C is small and lightweight due to the newly developed optical system of the DI technology 4C slim engine. Additionally, it features a reduced paper handling mechanism with a shorter paper path. It also features standard duplex or two-sided printing capability that is capable of speeds of 10 pages per minute for colored prints and 40 pages per minute for monochrome. This unit produces high image quality by using an intermediate transfer belt that can suppress the occurrence of color shift, and this means better speed as well as image quality.

A large number of printers are primarily used as local peripherals. Most printers today have built in network interfaces and are Wi-Fi or Ethernet integrated. While earlier printers needed a PC system to run, most modern day printers are now standalone printers commonly referred to as PC-free printers that can work even without being connected to a personal computer. For a printer to print 30 pages per minute was very rare before but with today’s modern printing technology, printers can now print up to 38 pages per minute or more.
