The Envision EN-9250 is a 19-inch Active Matrix, TFT LCD monitor with a standard 4:3 aspect ratio. Its recommended and maximum is 1280 X 1024 pixels. Its viewing angle is 140 degrees horizontally and vertically. This is the angle at which the screen can still be viewed decently. This monitor has a contrast ratio of 600:1. Its horizontal refresh rate is 24 KHz to 83 KHz while its vertical refresh rate is 55 Hz to 75 Hz.
An active matrix TFT-LCD screen contains cells of liquid crystal, polarizing sheets and a matrix of TFTs. These things store the electrical state of the pixels on the display while other pixels are being updated. This method of continuous updating of pixels is what creates the images that are seen on the screen.
