The Canon Pixma MP960, unlike regular all-in-one printers, does not have the ability to send and receive fax messages. Even so, it was designed to function as a complete photo lab. It has 35mm film scanning and the ability to directly connect to PictBridge enabled cameras for more efficient photo printing. Its 3.5 inch color LCD also makes it easier to preview photos for printing. It also uses seven ink cartridges for more distinct detail in its print outs.
The Canon Pixma MP960 does not only have the ability to scan regular documents and images, it also has the additional function of 35mm film scanning as well. Normal scanning allows you to scan photos directly from a flatbed or with the use of different applications, but film scanning requires a carrier into which uncut film strips can be inserted for scanning. Once inserted, it is then moved by a stepper motor across a lens and CCD sensor, capturing the images on the negative.AUTHOR
