The ATI Radeon 8500 cards are great performers with a good price vs. performance ratio. The 8500 has a 275 MHz core and a 550 MHz DDR Memory. This card allows the user to frag at 128 MB frame rates, then watch some cable or Internet TV or edit a video afterwards. On the card’s back plate, there are CATV, audio-video inputs and outputs that break out to S-Video and Composite cables, and DVI connectors. Included in the package is a DVI to VGA adapter so it may be used with standard monitors.

A TV tuner card, such as the ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 8500, is a device that allows television signals to be received by the computer. The interface for a TV tuner is a PCI express card. An All in wonder card by ATI contains a tuner and an analog to digital conversion system along with its modulation/demodulation and interface logic. Variants such as analog, hybrid, combo tuners and mobile TV are available. These variants focus on streaming analog to digital signals. A video capture device may be needed to record shows and be saved on the computer. Its major roles are for live broadcast and digital media streaming. A TV tuner stick was launched for commercial use in 2006. Also, many TV tuners include FM radio station signal processing. Nowadays, TV cards are flexible in serving the purposes of digital TV viewing and Internet media streaming.
