The Zebra TLP 3842 Printer has a 300 dpi resolution that ensures that every detail on the smallest labels can still be read and scanned. It has USB, parallel and serial interfaces that allow you to connect it within your network. Like all the other printers in the 2800 series, it uses a double walled enclosure that ensures durability and uses OpenACCESS to make loading media easier and more convenient. It uses a resolution of 300 dpi with 12 dots per mm and has a standard memory of 512 KB SRAM.

The Zebra TLP 3842 is a barcode printer that you can easily connect to using the serial, parallel or USB port available. A barcode is basically a machine-readable representation of data about the object the code is attached to. They were initially used to label railroad cars, but were not widely-used until supermarket checkouts started using them. Barcodes can either be linear or matrix, with the matrix barcode having the ability to represent more data.
