The ViewSonic G771 has a viewable screen of 16” with the capacity to support a maximum resolution of 1024x768dpi at 87Hz. It has a 0.27mm dot pitch and an Invar shadow mask. It also has OnView controls with ViewMatch that accurately match screen and printer outputs. It is TCO certified, and exceeds radiation, ergonomics and power standards set by MPRII and Energy Star. It also has ARAG screen treatment that refracts external light and keeps the display sharp.

Cathode Ray Tube or CRT monitors like the ViewSonic G771 were the first kinds of computer monitors to be used. They were physically attached to the computer and the keyboard and were known as video display terminals. In the 1980’s, they were developed not only to be detached from the computer itself, but to display color as well. It remained to be the dominant technology in computer monitors until the Liquid Crystal Display or LCD monitor was introduced in the 21st century.
