The Theatron Agrippa is the self-acclaimed audiophile PC consumers soundcard that boasts DTS Connect and Dolby Digital Live.
These technologies can take audio input and upmix it to 7.1 surround sound on the fly. It supports multi-speaker output from headphones to a fully fledged 7.1 DTS system.
DTS connect is a 2-part system that starts with DTS Neo:PC. DTS Neo upmixes an audio stream into the full-bandwidth matrix of your setup, reaching up to 7.1 channels. DTS Interactive takes responsibility for the second part of the audio delivery where in encodes the signal into DTS Digital Surround to be stream over an S/PDIF connection.
Dolby Digital Live on the other hand encodes any audio signal into a Dolby Digital bitstream allowing PCs to be connected directly to Dolby Digital-equipped A/V receivers via one digital connection and thus eliminating the need for multiple cables.
