SATO CT410 is a thermal transfer printer capable of providing a maximum printing speed of 100 mm/sec, which is equivalent to processing 2 to 4 instructions sent by processor, every second. The maximum print resolution that the device can offer is 305 dpi, and the maximum print width it can support is 104 mm. The inbuilt 80 MHz, 32-bit RISC processor allows the printer to handle large print queues with ease. It is capable of handling 10 scalable vector fonts as well as 12 mono-spaced and proportional OCR (A and B) type fonts. When it comes to printing graphics, the device is capable of handling media files in SATO Hexadecimal/Binary, PCX, and BMP.

The device is capable of printing text in vector fonts, which are essentially collections of vector images. The outlines of characters written using these fonts are defined by lines and curves, which can theoretically be magnified or shrunk to any level, without causing any kind of pixellation of the letters in any way. It is also possible to apply certain graphical effects to the letters before printing those, with better results than many other types of fonts. Most printers are able to support such fonts, either directly, or through some special software supplied with the device. Two popular examples of such fonts are OpenType and TrueType.
