The Ralink RT3062, which uses the RaLink RAPI Protocol Driver, supports PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) interface, MIMO (multiple-input and multiple-output) power saving, and multiple Basic Service Set Identifiers (also referred to as BSSIDs). When it comes to security features, it is compliant with Temporal Key Integrity Protocol (TKIP), Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA), Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), and also Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2) standards. The product also supports Cisco CCX 5.0, WMM (Wi-Fi Multimedia) and WMM-PS (Wi-Fi Multimedia-Power-Save) features. One of the most prominent features of this product is 2T2R, which refers to four signal streams, two used for transmitting and the others for receiving signals, at maximum frequencies of 2.4 GHz, along with PHY data rate of 300 MB/sec.

This product complies with IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) 802.11b/n/g specifications. When operating according to 802.11b specifications, it offers a maximum data rate (raw) of 11 MB/sec. This is in compliance with the method of media access defined in the standard. As the product makes use of 802.11b/n/g technology, it offers users feature-rich connectivity (wireless) at high industry standards. Moreover, it offers reliable throughput even at extended (long) distances. Since it is based on an architecture optimized for RF (radio frequency) and algorithms related to baseband frequencies, the device offers high performance when dealing with signals of those types.
