I-GATE 11M PC Card

The Gate 11M PCI/PC Card is used to provide a connection to the I-Gate network for computers. It can come with the I-Gate access point for ISDN or with one for LAN. This device also has a feature that permits the user to create a temporary network on the spot: this feature is ideal for those who have to constantly set up temporary networks for their offices or perhaps for out-of-office meetings. Security is provided with the inclusion of encrypting technology as well as authenticating mechanisms. This card also finds and chooses connections intelligently when multiple options are available, choosing the fastest by default.

The ISDN standard is in use in a broad range of applications nowadays, with its basic function being the transmission of different types of data (from visual data to sound) over a conventional telephone cable. This technology is basically an upgrade of the transmission capabilities for the typical wires used for telephone networks, as these used to be restricted to transmitting analog signals before. With the ability to transmit digital ones as well due to the ISDN standard, telephone calls became clearer and sharper than before.
