HP Scanjet 7400

The HP Scanjet 7400C flatbed scanner is one of the three scanners in the 7000 series. It uses a 2400 dpi optical resolution and is capable of enlarging a 35mm transparency to an 11 x 17 inch image with the same detail, color and overall quality. Its only big difference with the other models in the 7000 series is the built in automatic document feeder available in the other models, but this also comes as an optional add on.

This flatbed scanner converts a regular 2D or 3D image into a digital one. A digital image can either be a numeric representation of a 2D image, or data associated to points scattered over a 3D region. This gives you the specific colors and brightness, with a digital image consisting of a fixed number of rows and columns of pixels. These pixels hold the specific value for each color?s brightness.
