The HP LaserJet P1500 has prints at a true 600 by 600 dpi (dots per inch) high resolution. It is network-ready as well; it is interfaced by a high-speed USB 2.0 port and a built-in internal print server to handle connections from 10/100 Mbps Ethernet networks. The print quality and speed are fully adjustable, and the Archive printing feature reduces ink smearing and smudging on paper, used for documents that are meant to be in storage for extended periods of time.
The HP LaserJet?s core uses an electro-photographic laser marking engine, which was first developed by Canon, a Japanese firm, in the 1980s. This technique was used as well by Apple?s LaserWriter, but because of HP electing to use its own Printer Control Language as software for the printer, the LaserJet was born before the LaserWriter, and at a much lower price. Initially printing in black and white, the first color LaserJet was launched in 1991.AUTHOR
