Billionton System Inc. is the originator of the BT56R 56K modem, which has a Bluetooth function that allows its users to plug it into a nearby telephone port use it to enable their Bluetooth-technology-equipped devices to work using a wireless online connection. Founded on the BlueCore V.90 Access of Cambridge Silicon Radio’s reference design, the BT56R provides Class 1 Bluetooth functionality with a maximum range of about 100m. It is capable of supporting a frequency hopping Bluetooth protocol and a data rate of as much as 732Kbps.
