The Benq FP581s is a 15-inch LCD monitor that features a 300-degree swivel, 2-25 degree tilt, and a universal arm. It has a 16ms response time, 250 nits of brightness, a 450 to 1 contrast ratio, and built-in audio. These features allow it to be used for applications such as viewing DVD movies, playing games, editing images and photos, spreadsheet editing and other multimedia functions. It also features BenQ’s proprietary one-touch intelligent key (iKey) and the OSD menu enables viewers to adjust settings to optimum display configuration.
Most LCD monitors have the aspect ratio of 16:9. An aspect ratio is the ratio of the width to the height. When users view videos and the aspect ratio of what they are viewing is not the same as that of the LCD screen, black bars will be seen on the top and bottom or on the sides. If standard definition videos are being viewed, black bars on the sides will be seen because of their 4:3 aspect ratio. Movies often have wider aspect ratios. This is why we see black bars on the top and bottom.AUTHOR
