The Yamaha DS-XG sound driver download contains the latest WDM audio drivers and utilities for the Yamaha YMF724, YMF740, YMF744 and YMF754 audio chips. It can be used on most recent releases of Windows and will install version 5.12.01 of the driver onto your system. Important note: the sound driver was last updated in late 2000 and it is unlikely to have any further revisions – so make a backup copy for future use. Yamaha also provide the following advice:
